Remembrance for Bassist Bill Miele

It is still a difficult time in processing the passing of my good friend and musical bandmate, bassist, Bill Miele. There are no words really, but instead feelings of how much he meant to so many of us in the musical community and beyond.  Bill was a complete musician in everyway. His talent for not only consistently supporting any music he was immersed in with great energy, but to also generate a weave of creativity that contributed so much more to the music in his role as a bassist and intrepid improviser. His passionate input right up until the end with the new music we were playing made me realize his excellent arranging skills as well. Drummer Chris Poudrier and myself always welcomed Bill's ideas and insights into some of the bass solo sections that we ended up using. He will be deeply missed, but also so fondly remembered. I take some solace in knowing that there will be upcoming album releases of Bill's work in the months and years to come to contribute further to his legacy as a consummate musician and human being.
